  1. How do glovile community services work?
    • Each community is assigned a unique keyword MYSCHOOL.
    • Each community has an administrator for their Glovile account.
    • Members join a community by sending the community keyword in an SMS to a short-code e.g. 21365.
    • When the administrator post a message online it is converted to an SMS and sent to all members.
  2. What range of SMS products do you offer?
    • Reverse SMS - Members are charged when they receive an SMS from their community.
    • Sponsored SMS - The community (organisation) pays for SMS sent to members.
  3. How do I subscribe to My Community?
  4. How do I unsubscribe from My Community?
    • Send the STOP words you received when you subscribed to the short-code from which you normally receive SMS. E.g. STOP MYSCHOOL
    • Safaricom users ca also dial *100# and select "Charged SMS" then "Premium SMS Services" then "My Subscriptions" then choose the services you want to unsubscribe from and then choose unsubscribe.
  5. How do I activate a community administrator (publisher) account?
    • Community administrator accounts are only activated by Glovile.
    • Send your email address to the short-code 21365 and indicate the community you want to become an administrator of.
    • Glovile will create an online account that links your mobile number to your email address and then make you the administrator of the community. T&Cs apply.
SMS Pricing Information

  1. Bulk SMS costs 60 cents per SMS.
  2. SMS short-code Ksh. 15,000 per month.
  3. SMS Keyword on shared short-code costs Ksh. 1000 per month (or Ksh. 50 per day).
Administrator (Publisher) Manual

  1. Send us an email or send your email address to 21365 and indicate that you want the administrator manual for a specific community.
New Login Details

  1. Your online login details are confidential and should be kept secret
  2. If you are a community administrator and you want to activate a glovile online account then send your email address to 21365 and specify which community your are an administrator and request an online account.
  3. If you are a teacher at a school then ask your glovile account admistrator to enable an online account for you.
  4. If you want to change the email address that your mobile phone is linked to then write an SMS to 21365 indicating that.
  5. If you have a new mobile number and want to link with an active email address then send an email to sms@glovile.com indicating all specific details.
Lost your password?

  1. If you have forgotten your password you can send a new password request from the mobile phone that is linked to your account.
  2. The new password will be sent to your email address
    • Send the following phrase to 21365 to get a password sent to your email address.
    • PIN#PASSWORD
    • After you receive the password you should request a verification key by sending the following phrase to 21365. The verification key will be sent to you email address.
    • PIN#VERIFY
